The ReStore offers free pickup of donations. Contact the ReStore manager to schedule a pickup. We will require for the donation pickup address, contact, and phone number. We will also ask details about the items you wish to donate and will provide you options as to the day of the week that is available. Typically, we request you call 5 to 7 days in advance of your desired pickup. Spring and summer tend to be busier times of the year; so please allow more lead time.
While a specific time of pickup cannot be confirmed during the initial phone call, we will advise a window of when you might expect us to arrive. You will receive a confirmation call usually by noon the morning of your pickup to confirm and to provide you with a 2-hour window during which you can expect the ReStore truck to arrive at your address. If we don’t reach you, we will leave a message so please be sure to check your messages.
Your items should be preferably left outside, in the garage or on the 1st floor. Any item upstairs or downstairs must be easily accessible and able to move safely so as to not cause damage to the donor’s home or injury to drivers. Due to safety and liability concerns, our drivers are generally not permitted to negotiate stairways in order to access donations. Appliances should be disconnected prior to the arrival of our drivers as they are not equipped to disassemble or dismantle items prior to removal. Bed headboards, foot boards, and side rails should be dismantled prior to the arrival of the drivers.
