Habitat for Humanity-Clinton County was the recipient of a generous grant from Peoples Bank Foundation. For over 20 years, the Peoples Bank Foundation has distributed contributions across the communities they serve to foster a lasting impact and continue to increase support of local programs that help low to moderate – income individuals and families, mirroring the Habitat mission. To qualify, Habitat is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization and will be using the monies for construction of current home builds and partner family education programs. Peoples values the many community-focused organizations such as Habitat that exist to strengthen the infrastructure of our communities and families.
Our affiliate builds energy-efficient, affordable homes for individuals who might not otherwise be able to achieve homeownership. We also provide education in financial literacy, budgeting and money management, property maintenance, understanding escrow, insurance, emergency preparedness, lawn care, property taxes, and tax abatement programs. Our work supports the well-being of the community by meeting a well-recognized housing need. Without the help of our many volunteers, solicited donations, fund-raising and grants, we would not be able to continue our mission in our community.
